Terms of Service

By using ScribeShot, you agree to these terms:

1. License. ScribeShot grants you a personal, non-transferable license to use the software.
2. Third-party services. ScribeShot may open YouTube videos in the YouTube embedded player and may request metadata or transcripts from YouTube. Your use of those services is also subject to YouTube's terms, Google policies, and applicable law.
3. Acceptable use. You may use ScribeShot only for lawful purposes and only with content you are authorized to access and process.
4. User responsibility. You are responsible for any screenshots, transcripts, notes, summaries, exports, prompts, or other outputs created with ScribeShot.
5. Restrictions. You may not use ScribeShot to circumvent DRM, paywalls, access controls, or other technical protection measures, or to mass-copy or redistribute content without authorization.
6. API usage. If you use AI features, you are responsible for your own OpenAI API key usage, requests, and costs.
7. No warranty. ScribeShot is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.
8. Liability. ScribeShot shall not be liable for damages arising from the use of the software.

Relevant third-party terms may include YouTube's Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy.

End User Licence Agreement

1. Grant of license. Subject to payment and these terms, you are granted a non-exclusive license.
2. Restrictions. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, resell, sublicense, or redistribute ScribeShot except as permitted by law.
3. Third-party content. This license covers the ScribeShot software only. It does not grant rights to any third-party video, transcript, screenshot source material, or AI output.
4. Updates. License includes access to updates for the duration of your license period.
5. Termination. This license terminates if you violate these terms.
6. Governing law. This agreement is governed by applicable law.

Purchases and refunds

ScribeShot Pro is a one-time purchase, processed by Gumroad. Gumroad handles payment, receipts, and licence delivery, and its own terms apply to the transaction itself.

If something is wrong with your purchase or the app is not working as described, raise it in the support community — you will reach the developer directly. The free trial exists precisely so you can confirm ScribeShot does what you need before paying.
