Export your ScribeShot video notes to PDF
Use PDF export when the finished note needs to be shared, printed, or read outside your Markdown workflow. You choose what goes into the document, while the original ScribeShot note folder remains the editable source.

Choose what the PDF contains
The export can include the generated summary, structured AI notes, captured images or screenshots, and video timestamps. This lets you make a compact handout or a fuller visual study document without maintaining separate versions by hand.
Use remembered export defaults
ScribeShot stores your preferred export defaults. By default, Summary, AI Notes, and Images are included, while Timestamps are optional. You can change the choices for a particular export without having to reorganize the underlying Markdown note.
PDF is an output, not your source of truth
The original notes.md, summary.md, screenshots, and other lesson files stay in your local folder. Exporting does not convert or replace them. You can keep editing the Markdown, use it in Obsidian, and create a fresh PDF later.
When timestamps are useful
Include timestamps when the reader may need to verify a point in the original YouTube lesson. Leave them out when the PDF should read like a standalone handout. Screenshots can still provide visual context either way.
Common questions
Can the PDF include captured screenshots?
Yes. Images and screenshots are one of the selectable PDF export components.
Does exporting to PDF remove or modify my Markdown notes?
No. The PDF is generated as a separate output and the original local note files remain unchanged.
